BEFORE
This China Cabinet was a free gift given to me by my husband's Grandmother.I have tons of beautiful glassware that is just collecting dust in boxes and I'm very glad to have somewhere to store them now!  At first, I thought it was REALLY old and made of solid wood, but when I got it home, I soon realized it was probably not that old and only the doors where made of real wood.  After debating on what to do with it, I decided to paint it.  I started with a Valspar Signature Eggshell paint, which is a paint available at Lowe's that has the primer already mixed in with the paint.  The paint was left over from my bathroom and the color was a custom color that had matched my bedding.  I would descibe it as a sky blue with a slightly gray tint.  I knew it was probably a good idea to sand the wood before I started painting, but I really did not feel like going through all that! After all the look I was going for was antique, so it needed to be far from perfect. After I removed the hardware with the screwdriver, I began painting with a paint brush, and leaving some areas without paint such as the deep grooves and detail.  I have painted the inside of the cabinet for now, but plan on adding fabric to the backside along with recovering the bar stools in this room.  I store this beauty in my basement in our bar area since I do not have a formal dining room.  At this point I have not spent one penny on this project, until I add the fabric that is!
